Raffle Off a Paid Vacation Day — Ask your supervisor to sell raffle tickets (suggested amount $20 per ticket) for an extra paid vacation day. All proceeds can go toward your fundraising efforts!
50/50 New Years Resolution Competition — Hold an office weight loss, diet, or workout challenge for an entry fee. The winner splits the entry fee total with The Autism Research Foundation.
Shop for the Cause — Purchase gifts that keep on giving, including our “I See You” jewelry collection with Beads for a Cause. Every item purchased includes a 20% donation to The Autism Research Foundation, and other autism-related organizations can use this bead for fundraising, too!
Dress Down Days — For the privilege of dressing less formal than required typically at work, employees can make a suggested donation towards your fundraising efforts. Encourage people to make it a ‘Dress Down Week’ by donating so much! Other options include Halloween Costume Days, Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest Days, and Pajama Days. Just be sure to gain approval from your supervisors!
Create Your Own Fundraising Page — Providing our inclusion programs, life skill workshops and community events at little to no cost for families gets expensive quickly. Help us offset our overhead costs by sharing your personal story about autism with your friends and family. Share the link on Facebook, in your email groups and with your co-workers, and if you’re feeling ambitious, create your own team to power up a program in honor of someone you love!
Host a Lunchtime Cook-Off — Rally a team of co-workers to compete in a monthly cook-off. Each co-worker donates their prepared food, while each employee makes a donation (instead of a payment) toward having a sample for lunch. Employees can vote on the cook-off winner who earns a company prize.
