What is a life skill workshop? Socially Skilled Workshops offer individuals with autism and their caregivers an opportunity to practice real-life social skills within real-life social situations at real-life social venues.
The goal of each workshop is to identify common social cues in their actual setting and then to practice initiating or responding appropriately to those social cues in an effort to live independently.
Learning strategies of these workshops include: video modeling, repetition, schedules, social stories.
We provide “before-and-after” educational tools to caregivers as supplements to these community events, which encourages comfortable preparation and reinforcement for every participant.
